The Art of duality

…his professed “value of use”, though it is not. It seems to me that his long and varied career has settled on fertile soil and produced the shoots of a plastic, solid and inflexible language. Coming face to face with his monoliths is a little like discovering in the magma of the earth a bright crystal, a shining precious stone formed of geometric planes that are not distinctly pronounced. What are these highly personal archetypes if not absolutes which stop too, beyond the jumbled, distressing chaos of the modern word where disintegration is law and bewildering confusion the norm?
